Estrin Vaginal Cream 0.625 mg contains conjugated estrogens and is manufactured and distributed by Cipla Ltd., India. This medication belongs to the hormone and synthetic substitute therapy group (estrogens and estrogen agonist–antagonists) and is recognized as an effective form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Conjugated estrogens consist of a mixture of several naturally occurring estrogens that mimic the physiological effects of endogenous estrogen. This medication is used in the treatment of vaginal atrophy, hypogonadism, primary ovarian failure, and moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause. It helps restore vaginal tissue, improving dryness, irritation, and inflammation of the vaginal area.

Estrin Vaginal Cream may also be used for postmenopausal osteoporosis prevention and, in certain cases, for the management of abnormal uterine bleeding or hormone-dependent cancers, such as breast and prostate cancer. The medication should be used strictly as prescribed by a physician, with an appropriate dosage regimen (typically once daily or several times per week, depending on clinical needs).

Contraindications include a history of thromboembolic disorders, estrogen-dependent cancers (such as breast or uterine cancer), undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, and severe hepatic impairment.

Possible side effects may include local irritation, breast tenderness, or changes in vaginal discharge. The cream is supplied in 42.5 g tubes and should be stored at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.
